The IWAN Kids Cooking Session was a beautiful and engaging experience filled with learning, creativity, and joy. Children arrived with their own ingredients and stepped into a lively cooking space, excited to try something new.
We began by helping the kids wash, peel, and chop their vegetables safely. For many of them, it was their first time handling simple kitchen tasks, and they enjoyed the confidence it gave them. One of the highlights of the session was teaching the children how to make fresh homemade mayonnaise from scratch. They whisked and mixed the ingredients and watched the texture change in real time, which felt magical to them.
Once the mayonnaise was ready, the kids assembled their sandwiches with the fillings they brought. They also learned how to toast the sandwiches using a toaster while understanding both safety and technique. The happiness on their faces when they tasted something they made themselves was truly priceless.
Overall, the session was a wonderful blend of hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun. It was inspiring to see the children take pride in their creations, help one another, and walk away with a new life skill.
At IWAN Kids, we believe in nurturing confidence through real experiences. This cooking workshop reflected that mission beautifully.
